Boys Varsity Basketball · Varsity Boys Basketball Competes in the 28th Annual Lake Murray Tip-Off

The Fox Creek Varsity Boys Basketball team is competing in the 28th Annual Lake Murray Tip-Off during Thanksgiving Week (November 25th-29th), hosted by Lexington HS and White Knoll HS.

The Varsity Boys battled the back to back 4A State Runner-Up Wilson High School on Monday in a 39-25 loss. On Tuesday, the Preds played one of their best games so far this season against 5A White Knoll High School. With about 4 minutes to go in the game, FC was only down 46-42, but the Timberwolves made some tough plays down the stretch to pull out the 59-47 win. On Wednesday, the Preds faced last year’s SCISA-A State Runner-Up, Richard Winn Academy. It was a very back and forth game for 4 quarters with FC trailing 51-50 with just seconds remaining in the game. Trey Butler made a 3PT in the corner with 5 seconds remaining to give the Preds the victory. On Friday, FC will face 5A Lugoff-Elgin High School, who averaged over 90 points in their first 2 games of the tournament.

The Lake Murray Tip-Off has been a great opportunity for a young Predators team to play some of the top basketball programs in the state. It will provide valuable experience for the team going forward for the 2019-2020 season.
