Christina Smith – Athletic Trainer

Christina Smith is entering her 3rd year at FCHS. She is certified by the BOC and in South Carolina. She teaches 3 periods of sports medicine and is also the Certified Athletic Trainer for all athletes. Some of the athletic trainers responsibilities are providing emergency care & first aid, taping & bracing, evaluating injuries, creating rehabilitation programs, and advising on sports nutrition for the athletes at Fox Creek. 

Christina attended The Pennsylvania State University from 2004-2008 and graduated with a BS in Kinesiology with an emphasis in athletic training. From 2008-2010 she attended University of South Carolina where she earned a masters in athletic training.  After graduate school, Christina moved to Shanghai, China where she taught and was the AT at Shanghai American School. Following her 2 years in China, she obtained a masters in teaching from the University of the Cumberlands and started her teaching career in 2012. 
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two dogs, camping, hiking, anything outdoors, and also watching football. Go Penn State!
