LaFayette A. Stewart, Jr. was born and raised in the North Augusta, SC. He is a 2002 graduate of North Augusta High School, where he was a SCADA North/South Selection in 2001, All-Region, All-State, and All-CSRA selections as a player. LaFayette received a football scholarship to attend Carson Newman College in Jefferson City, TN, where he was a part of several South Atlantic Conference Championship Teams. He received a BS in Business Administration/Management in December of 2007.
For the past decade, LaFayette has worked as an Educator, Athletic Administrator, and football Coach in Greenville County, SC; Richmond County, GA; and Aiken County, SC. His most recent stop was being an assistant coach for North Augusta High School for the 2017 & 2018 seasons where he was a part of the coaching staff that lead to two region 4-AAAA championship teams. He is currently entering his first year as the Head Football Coach at Fox Creek High School. He has always been passionate about educating and exposing student athletes in order to help them achieve their dream of attaining their diploma and an athletic scholarship at the next level.
