After a hard fought loss at Blue Ridge on Wednesday the Predator’s looked to push the region record to 2-0 against Batesburg-Leesville on Friday night. Senior Jackson Pruett and Junior Sam Godbee made sure that was the case. After entering the game a combined 0-13 on the season the pair got in the hit column in a big way. Pruett going 2-4 with 3 RBI’s, 1 SB and Godbee 3-4 2 RBI’s, 1 R, 1 SB paced the Predator attack. Senior Kenneth Miller was good on the mound providing 5.1 innings of solid baseball allowing only 3 hits striking out 3. Junior Conner Sherlock slammed the door on the Panthers pitching the final 1.2 perfect innings striking out 2. A good night for the Creek as the boys withstood a late push from Batesburg-Leesville winning the game 6-2. Offensively it was a good night for all Fox Creek hitters as each player reached base.
Creek now goes to 4-1-1 on the season and 2-0 in region play.It will be a quick turn around for the boys as they face top 10 ranked 3-A opponent the Aynor Blue Jackets Saturday, March 14 at the Creek. Game time slated for 10:00 am. Be safe look forward to seeing everyone out there. Go Creek!
